Simple CalendarPrivacy Policy
This policy explains how the Simple Calendar app ("the app", "we", "us"), published by EXAMCERT PTY LTD, handles your information. In short: we do not collect, store, sell or share your personal data. The app has no account system, no servers of its own, no advertising and no analytics.
1. Your calendar data
With your permission, the app reads and writes events in the calendars already on your device (Apple Calendar / EventKit on iOS, the Android Calendar Provider on Android). This includes calendars synced from accounts you have added to your device, such as iCloud, Google, Outlook or Exchange.
Your events are processed on your device only. They are never uploaded to us. Any sync between your device and your calendar providers is performed by your operating system under those providers' own privacy policies, not by Simple Calendar.
You can withdraw calendar access at any time in your device's system settings.
2. Information stored on your device
The app stores your preferences (for example start of week, default view, default alerts and event templates) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules event alerts and "time to leave" reminders locally on your device. We do not use push notification servers and do not receive any notification data.
4. Weather and place lookups
When an event has a location and you view it, the app may look up that place to show a weather forecast or a travel-time estimate. To do this, only the text of the event's location (for example "Terminal 2, Airport") is sent to:

No event titles, notes, attendees, account identifiers or device identifiers are sent. The app does not access your device's GPS location. Travel-time estimates are calculated on your device.
5. What we do not do
- We do not require or offer an account or sign-in.
- We do not run analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
6. Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
7. Data security and retention
Because we do not collect personal data, we hold nothing about you to retain, secure or delete. Data on your device is protected by your device's own security. You can remove all app data by uninstalling the app; your events remain in your device calendars.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. As we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to provide or delete, but you are welcome to contact us with any question.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
